Immunoglobulin G (IgG) Test

Immunoglobulin G (IgG) Test is done to detect the amount of IgG levels in the body. It is the most common type of immunoglobulin or "antibody". It is produced naturally as a reaction to infection. This is produced after a body has reacted to infection with IgM. Therefore, IgG comes to fight after IgM levels decline. IgG is the response that body gives when it remembers an infection and fight again. IgG gives long term natural immunity.

Normal Ranges Adult: IgG 6.0 - 16.0g/L.
